Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery saver” and tap the “Battery saver” switch to ON
  5. Choose a battery percentage for the battery saver to enable automatically, such as “15% battery” or “Immediately”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “Display” tab
  3. Tap “Brightness” under “Basic settings”
  4. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value, such as “30 seconds”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down while viewing the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Access the “Network” tab
  4. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering”
  5. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and disable the feature
  6. Return to “Settings” and tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches OFF
  7. Under “Personal”, tap “Location” for GPS options
  8. Tap “Mode” and turn on “Battery saving (Networks only)”

Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. If necessary, access the “Networks” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “More”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Select “GSM only”

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. From the “General” tab scroll to “Phone Management”
  3. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Disable “Game optimizer”

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes, and thus they can affect battery life even when they are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Apps” and access “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired application
  6. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to turn off the app, or:
  7. Tap “Uninstall” to remove the app

Disable Unused Smart Settings at Home:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If needed, access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions”
  4. Tap “Smart settings” to turn off the option

Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps / accounts to reduce sync, you might improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. In the “General” tab, scroll to “Personal”
  3. Go to “Accounts & Sync” and optionally, disable “Auto-sync data”
  4. Scroll to “Accounts”
  5. Select an account or app, and change the sync settings as desired

Disable Background Data:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data”
  4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK”
