Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & power saving”
  4. Enable “Power Saving” and turn the desired power saving options ON or OFF
  5. Lastly, you can select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions” and tap “Smart settings”
  4. Set the switch “OFF”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Access “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity”
  3. Tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot”
  4. Set the Hotspot toggle OFF
  5. Go back to “Settings” and tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches OFF
  6. Access the “General” tab and scroll to “Personal”
  7. Tap “Location” (GPS) > “Mode” > “Battery saving (networks only)”

Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity”
  3. Tap “More” > “Mobile networks”
  4. Tap “Network mode”
  5. Enable “GSM only”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing your accounts’ / apps’ sync settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Go to “Settings” and access the “General” tab
  2. Scroll to “Personal”
  3. Tap “Accounts & sync”
  4. Turn “Auto-sync data” Off
  5. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account / app to change its sync settings

Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Display” tab
  3. Scroll to “Basic settings”
  4. Tap “Brightness” and drag the slider towards the left side of the screen
  5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes even when not in use, and thus they can potentially affect battery life even when not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. If necessary, access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and access “Apps”
  4. Go to “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired app
  6. To disable the app, tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
  7. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall” to confirm

Disable Background Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab if necessary
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Turn “Restrict background data” ON
  5. Tap “OK”
