Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Launch Settings
- If necessary, access the General tab
- Scroll down to Phone Management
- Tap Battery & Power saving
- Turn Power Saving ON and enable or disable the desired power saving options
- Optionally, you can also select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically
Disable Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling the phones connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- If necessary, access the Networks tab
- Scroll to Connectivity and tap Tethering > Mobile hotspot
- Set the Hotspot toggle OFF and return to Settings
- Tap the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches OFF
- Go to the General tab and scroll to Personal
- Tap Location (GPS)
- Tap Mode and select Battery saving (networks only)
Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:
NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.
- Go to Settings
- Access the Networks tab
- Scroll to Connectivity and tap More
- Tap Mobile networks > Network mode
- Turn GSM only ON
Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Smart functions
- Tap Smart settings and set the switch OFF
Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Open Settings
- Go to the Display tab if necessary
- Scroll to Basic settings and tap Brightness
- Drag the slider towards the left side of the screen to decrease luminosity
- Tap Screen timeout and select a lower value
Change Sync Settings:
NOTE: By changing your apps / accounts sync settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab if necessary
- Scroll to Personal and tap Accounts & Sync
- Optionally, disable Auto-sync data
- Scroll to Accounts and select an account or app to change its sync settings and reduce sync
Disable Background Data:
- Open Settings
- Go to the Networks tab
- Tap Mobile data > Menu
- Enable Restrict background data
- Tap OK to confirm
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Some third party apps can perform regular background processes and have the potential to affect battery life even when they are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management
- Access Apps and go to Downloaded
- Tap and hold the desired application
- To turn an app OFF, tap Disable / Force stop
- To remove the app from the phone, tap Uninstall
