Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG Q6 to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
  5. Copy and transfer the desired audio files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” directories
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If necessary, switch to “List view”
  3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Open the “Essentials” folder
  2. Launch “Contacts” and tap the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “More”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change Incoming Email Alerts:

  1. Open “Email”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Access “Settings”
  4. Scroll to “Accounts & Sync”
  5. Select the desired email account
  6. Under “Notifications”, enable “New Emails” and tap “Notification sound”
  7. Tap the desired notification ringtone
  8. Optionally, turn “Vibrate” ON or Off

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Open “Messaging”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Access “Settings”
  4. Under “Advanced settings”, tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  5. Under “Receive alerts”, select to disable “Imminent sever alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and/or “AMBER alerts”
  6. Under “Sound and vibrate” turn “Alert sound” and “Alert vibration” On or Off
