Back Up App Data:
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Under Phone Management, tap Backup & reset
- Under Google Backup, tap Back up my data
- Enable Back up my data
Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:
- Open Settings
- If necessary, access General
- Tap Backup & reset under Phone management
- Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore
- Tap Back up data and select the SD card
- When prompted, log in with your LG account
- Select Personal data and deselect the other options
- Expand the Personal data folder and make sure Contacts is checked
- Tap Start > Done
Back Up Contacts to SD Card:
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Under Phone Management tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup & restore > Backup data
- Select SD Card and the items you want to back up
- Tap Start
- When prompted with Backup complete, tap Done
Back Up Media Files:
- Launch Settings
- Under Phone Management tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup
- Go to Backup & restore
- Select Media data and deselect the other options
- Expand the Media data directory and select the desired files
- Tap Start > Done
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG Q6 to your PC via USB
- Enable Media sync / File Transfer when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the desired media files (or backup files ending with the .sbf extension) on the phone storage
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
