Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Click the iPhone in iTunes
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing one
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the process completes, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts Using iCloud:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contact sin a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contact and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, tap Email
- Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email to your own address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a p2p connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the LG device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Tap Send
- Finally, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
