NOTE: For a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files, check this thread.

Restore App Data:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone management”
  4. Scroll to “LG Backup”
  5. Tap “Restore from backup” and select the desired backup file
  6. Tap “Start” > “Done”

NOTE: You may have to reboot your phone in order for the restore to complete.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Switch to the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the backup file you want to restore and tap “Start” > “Done”

NOTE: You may need to reboot your phone to complete the restore.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab and scroll to “Phone management”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup”
  5. Select the desired backup file and tap “Start”
  6. Tap “Done” at the “Restored” prompt

Restore Media Files:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Phone management”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Under “LG backup” tap “Restore from backup”
  6. Select the media files you want to restore
  7. Tap “Start”
  8. When prompted with “Restore completed” tap “Restart”

Restore Media Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the LG device to the computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media sync” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
  4. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) of origin
  5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
