NOTE: You can check this thread for a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media.

Restore App Data:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Phone management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  3. Tap “Restore from backup”
  4. Select the backup file you want to restore
  5. Tap “Start” > “Done”

NOTE: You may have to reboot the device in order to complete the restore.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Phone management”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the desired backup and tap “Start”
  6. At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done” and wait for the device to reboot and complete the process

Restore Media Files:

  1. Launch “Settings” and go to “Phone management”
  2. Tap “Backup & reset” > “Restore from backup”
  3. Select the media file backups you want to restore
  4. Tap “Start”
  5. At the “Restore completed” prompt tap “Restart”

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG device to the computer via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media sync” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate and copy the media file backups from the PC
  5. Paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
