Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
- On the phone, enable File Transfer / Media device when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the computer
- Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Notifications and Ringtones directories
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open Settings
- Go to Device
- Tap Sound
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change a Specific Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts located on the phones internal memory or the SIM card.
- Launch Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > More
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Press OK
Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:
- Open Email
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings > Account & Sync
- Select the desired email account
- Enable New Emails
- Go to Notification sound
- Select the desired ringtone and turn Vibrate On or Off
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Launch Messages
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings > Advanced settings
- Tap More > Emergency alerts
- Under Receive alerts turn Imminent severe alerts Imminent extreme alerts and AMBER alerts
- Under Sound and vibrate turn Alert vibration and Alert sound ON or OFF
