WARNING! By factory resetting your device, you will lose all your personal data stored on the phones internal memory, such as ringtones, media files, apps, downloaded content, contacts etc. Furthermore, all settings will be restored to factory values but data located on the SIM and SD cards wont be affected.

Factory Reset via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Go to Phone Management
- Tap Backup & Reset
- Tick or clear the check boxes linked with Back up my data and Automatic restore
- Tap Backup account
- Select the desired account and tap Factory data reset
- Optionally, select to Erase SD Card as well
- In case your phone is protected by a lock screen, enter your password/PIN to proceed
- Tap Delete all > Reset
Factory Reset via Android Recovery:
NOTE: If your phone freezes, crashes, or otherwise prevents you from resetting it using the method above, alternatively you can try and reset the device from Android Recovery.
- Make sure the phone is powered Off
- Next, press and hold Power and Volume down simultaneously
- At the LG screen, quickly release and re-press Power
- At the Factory data reset screen, release the buttons
- Next, press Volume own to navigate the menu and highlight Yes
- Press Power to select the highlighted option
- At the Erase all user data and restore default settings prompt, highlight Yes
- Press Power one last time to confirm
