Back Up App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & Reset”
  3. Select “Google Backup”
  4. Enable “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts to an LG Account:

  1. Launch “Settings” and access “Phone Management”
  2. Tap “Backup & Reset” > “LG Backup”
  3. Tap “Backup & Restore” and select “Back up my data”
  4. Log in with your LG account
  5. Select and expand “Personal data” then ensure the other options are deselected
  6. Tick the “Contacts” check box”
  7. Tap “Start” > “Done”

Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

  1. Open “Settings” and go to “Phone Management”
  2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
  3. Tap “LG Backup & Restore”
  4. Tap “Backup data” and select “SD card”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Start” > “Done”

Back Up Media Files:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Backup & Reset”
  3. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & Restore”
  4. Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
  5. Expand “Media data” and select the desired files
  6. Tap “Start” > “Done”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Navigate to the media files or the “.sbf” backup files you want to back up
  5. Transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
