I just got a Motorola Black RAZR phone from Cingular. I would like to create small versions of my personal home movies to view on the phone. I have a Bluetooth connection with my Mac laptop, and can send video files to the phone, but the phone does not recognize the format. Must I buy the Motorola Mobile Tools software to get the correct file format? BTW, I have both a Mac and a PC.

Yes you will have to get mpt and use it on your PC since all of the versions I've seen DO NOT work on macs, and you'll need a converter program that will convert your clips to .3gp good luck. On the second part I'm not positive you may be able to use the wmv files, I would try that instead first to avoid paying for software you don't need.

Does anyone know if MPT converts video clips to the 3GP format for you? Or do you def need to use a seperate program to first convert the file to 3GP and then transfer it to your phone with MPT?
