Ahoy! I just got a Motorola V60 and I don't like any of the rings so I want to make a new ring of my own. However, I find it difficult for myself to use the ringtones because I don't understand how to use it. When I found some tones for it, and put it on the phone, it didn't work. There were numbers like 1142323 etc, and I would put it on the phone, but it wouldn't work. And then I used the #34b 45c etc. but it sounded extremely funny. Could somebody explain to me how to use this composer? Thank you.

i've never used a motorola ringtone composer, so i've never actually tried this, but posted below is what help Coding Workshop Ringtone Converter offers.

    stupid question - are you sure it's a V60, not a V60i oder V60t?
    these models have different composers!

the tone used below should turn out to be America's National Anthem (says Coding Workshop).

    hope this helps some!

Locate your phones ringtone composer, then press the keys on your phone in the order shown below (ignore the spaces and what appears on the phone display - simply press the keys in the order shown).

For the standard rendition press the keys on your phone in the following order :

    1133300 30 127000 113# 333 27 44 111300 2220 1127000 3# 33# 333 4400 333# 333# 1113000 22200 1127000 2 44# 400 2# 27000 27 333# 3#

After pressing the keys in the order shown above, the display on your Motorola should read:

    2FhDq1A#w2DFA#R3DhCq2A#wDEFRhFF3DwCh2A#wARGhAA#wA#FD

For a faster rendition (where possible) key in :

    113330 30 12700 113# 333 27 44 11130 2220 112700 3# 33# 333 440 333# 333# 111300 2220 112700 2 44# 40 2# 2700 27 333# 3#

Storing the tone on your phone

To enter this code into your V60 (original) phone, click the menu (top central) button and scroll down and select 'Settings'.

A new menu will appear, so scroll down and select 'Ring/Vibrate', then again scroll and select 'My Tones'.

You will now see a list of tones you have entered.

To store your new ringtone, scroll down to '[New Tone]', then select '[Notes]'. Finally type in the key sequence above to program the new tone into your phone. Locate your phones ringtone composer, then press the keys on your phone in the order shown below (ignore the spaces and what appears on the phone display - simply press the keys in the order shown).
