moto v505 - how to put pictures/contact info onto PC

hello. I am wondering if anyone could explain how I'd would connect my moto v505 to my PC. I see that data cables are available as are bluetooth connections, but is that all that is necessary? What software would be necessary?

All I want to do is easily transfer my pictures and back-up my address book.

Datapilot will also work but i personally like MPT better for my Motos..
