I havent personally tried this but after a little search I found this page that tells how to convert several different file formats to 3gp.

    http://www.videohelp.com/convert

in the search look for the third drop down box called Format Conversion and it shows all the ways to convert to 3gp

sure is a software to convert. More than likely you'll have to find a crack for it...or BUY IT! I did this search awhile back.

MPT is the best for basic conversions.

MPT can automatically convert to 3gp upon import using VIDEO STUDIO, but the resulting video imported to my phone usually looks like absolute CRAP and the audio is out of sync. Even the HelloMoto demo on the phone looks bad. Fortunately the RAZR V3 displays better videos than even Motorola gives it credit for. By investing about $29 U.S. for Quicktime Pro, you can convert AVI, DV, etc to 3gp. I adjust settings to 192 Kbps and use either 12 or 15 FPS. Once the video is converted to 3GP I can use Bluetooth (NOT MOBILE PHONE TOOLS) to send the video into my RAZR. The results are quite pleasing and the audio is in sync.
