Is there a reason why I can only find full housing replacements for RAZR V3's and not the V3c's? Is there something about the V3c that doesn't enable you to replace the housing?

    Re: Full Housing Replacements

I posted this in response to a thread in the Verizon forum:

The following info is from Motorola's website. The Razr V3 has the following external dimensions: 13.9 x 55 x 98 millimeters. The CDMA Razr V3c has these external dimensions: 15 x 53 x 99 millimeters. Therefore, the V3c is larger than the V3, and the guts of a CDMA Razr will not fit in the shell of a GSM Razr. No matter what way you cut it.

I know that they are different, but I'm asking whether there is a certain reason why they aren't made for the V3c as well.

    Re: Full Housing Replacements

the v3c hasnt been out as long....
its main carrier is verizon but its not the best seller
where as with cingular/tmob and whoever else its still their #1 phone
I would say there are at least 3 times as many v3s out there than v3c
so maybe if it stays around they might come out with some.

    Re: Full Housing Replacements

Do a google search for "cnn.cn", without the quotations of course. They have a lot of replacements parts for all the versions of the RAZR. I'm not quite clear if you are actually looking to buy a replacement housing or not, but if you are, they have some decent prices on that kind of stuff.

Yeah, but I've only found ones for the V3 and from what everyone's been saying, I don't think they have any for the V3c.

Be careful, most of them say "V3/V3c". As established in this thread, one will not fit the other.
