Is there a LOCK function similar to Blackberry so phone doesn't responds to "bumps" etc when it's in my pocket?

Have a 16 gig SD card--can I just insert it in phone and go or is there special process after I put SD in phone?

Is there way to delete all CONTACTS and re-import just ones I want? The BLUR process is painfully slow--
