How-to: Transfer iPhone Contacts to a Motorola One

Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can share your iPhone contacts with your Google account, then you can sync the account data including contacts, with the Android phone.

1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
2. Launch iTunes on the computer
3. Click the iPhone
4. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
8. Once the sync completes, sign in with the same account on the Android phone and set the account to sync contacts with the device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.

1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
3. Sign in with your iCloud account
4. Go to “Contacts”
5. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
6. Once done, follow one of the steps below:
   
   • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import it to your phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
   • Connect the Android device to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps such as My Contacts Backup on iOS. The app can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
3. Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
4. Send the email to your own address
5. Switch to the Android device and open the email
6. Download the vCard and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer to peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring access to a computer.

1. Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
2. Install the app on the Android phone from the Play Store
3. Open the app on both devices
4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
6. Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the prompts
