I own a i90 and it has very poor signal in my house. I called Nextel and they told me its the phones fault and a new phone will fix the signal prob. Can anyone confirm that?

I've seen very good reception with the i830. But I wouldnt just go on that.

I've also seen many people say that the newer phones have lousy reception,as well as great reception. It all really depends where you are.

I wouldnt go out and buy a phone just yet.Instead,go and try wrapping some LED ribbon around your antenna and place it behind the battery. This has been known to give a guranteed 1 or 2 bars even in the elevator. I forget the link to the site,i'll try and look for it.

I've owned the i90c, i95cl, i730 and now a i860 and all have crappy signal at my house. Of course Nextel blames the phone. About 80% of my calls get dropped at my house. The neighbors must think I'm a moron because I'm always in my driveway talking on the phone.

I've been looking like hell for that link, but nothing. I'll try and explain it here...

.1) You can use LED ribbon or some small, thin, bendable metal material. I myself used a flashing keypad ribbon on my phone, they only cost about 4-5 dollars and you can have a flashing keypad(Optional)

Or,you can use led ribbon, which is a little harder to come buy,but if you mod phones for a living, you'll have a lot leftover.

If your still confused, heres a pic

The part with the arrow pointed to it goes around the antenna then goes to battery terminals, which boosts reception. If you dont want the flashing keypad then you can cut the rest off,and only use the long piece,or you can just remove the led's.
