I seen the net alerts "work around" for the internet and am curious if I could use it on my work phone. My i605 is direct connect only but I can browse the Nextel download page. And gives me the option to buy their stuff. So it leads me to believe I have the limited internet access. When I click on Net I get " aGPS message goes here".
I can go to Settings, Advanced, Connectivity, Network ID, and it gives me
ID 1:X
ID 2:X
ID 3:XX
ID 4:XX
But that is too short for my sub ID number. What am I missing?
Is there another way to get it? I do have the USB data cable if that would help somehow. Is there anyway to modify the history in the browser cache? I could just change a history to http://www.nextel.com if that was possible.
Two more quick concerns:
1. Is the work around billable? Am I gonna wind up with a 200 dollar bill next month for using the net alert work around to access the internet?
2. Should I be concerned with giving someone my Sub ID number or using it on a webpage with forms? What exactly am I giving out?
Thanks guys,
Cyp

if you do find your sub id, you can send it to me through a PM, I would not post it on the open forum. there is not much people can do with it but if someone wanted to they could flood you phone with net alerts. I have help many, many, many people get the free internet through net alert.

glad to help
1. What exactly is a codelplug and whats it do? you can do many things with a code plug, I am not that familiar with them as I do not work with them particularly with the i605.
2. With the net alert internet...am I gonna get a surprise 200 dollar bill one month? no you will not get a suprise bill. I had the net alert internet on my i90 for 1.5 years and on my i730 for 2 years and never was charged for anything.
