I just bought a Nokia 1100 for a friend who has a visual problem and I found a page in the handbook that says you can set it up for 1-touch dialing. He cannot see the numbers at all. So I followed the directions, it said Press Menu>Settings>Call Settings>1-touch dialing. Well that last part doesn't EXIST on my phone! I went to Menu>Settings>Call Settings and then after that the only options it has are Automatic Redial, Speed Dialing, Call Waiting, and Send My Caller ID. I bought a Prepaid card with it. I have activated both the card and the phone.

I don't mean the phone display is having a problem. The problem is the phone is owned by a person who has bad eyes. I am trying to find out how to set up 1-touch dialing for him, but that option is in the manual but not in the phone. This is a brand new phone, it works fine.

I'm not talking about Speed Dialing. I am talking about 1-touch Dialing, mentioned on page 9 of my Nokia 1100 manual. The man I need to do this for cannot see the numbers on the keys. He needs a way to just click any one number and have the phone dial the number of one particular person he needs to contact when necessary. That is why I was trying to figure out how to set up 1-touch Dialing. In Speed Dialing, you have to dial a particular number that has been chosen, like 2 or 4 or whatever. He cannot SEE the numbers. He is legally blind.
