I have no idea how to do either.
I want ot rip a cue from a CD and use it as my ringtone. Don't know how to get it on there. I have a Nokia 6010.
Also, I guess this would have to be a hack, it won't let me delete Profiles or an option to delete that annoying start up baner from Nokia and T-Mobile.
Any help? Keep in mind I will likely not know the technobabble.

Re: Own ringtone and undeletable stuff
A 6010 canot play MP3 as ringtones. It can only play polyphonic ringtones, it's a basic phone.
Nokia's cannot be as hacked as Motorolas.
You can't do a whole lot with a 6010.Favorite Quote:

Re: Own ringtone and undeletable stuff
Thank you for answering.
Would anyone know what I'd have to upgrade to to set my own ringtone?
I don't need anything fancy, shinny. Basically, I'm happy with the 6010, but it's just not going ot cut the mustard with what I want to do.

For Nokia phones that support MP3 ringtones? You can go to sites like Phonescoop, Mobiledia, or GSMArena, and use their phone search functions to help you narrow your selection. =).
BTW, welcome to CPF.Favorite Quote:

Re: Own ringtone and undeletable stuff
While borwsing Mobiledia for what my options are, one model said:
64 chord / MP3
Would this be it? What indicates it can do it, and also what does "64 chord" mean? Is that in some reference to how long the ringtone can be?
For example, I want to get two MP3s from CDs I have, and both would probably come to about 4mins total.
