Nokia has announced that many of their chargers that are made by a third party supplier are faulty due to the cause of electric shock hazards.

The models of the chargers include types: AC-3U and AC-3E and were manufactured between June 15 of 2009 and August 9 2009. Alos, model type AC-4U manufactured between April 13, 2009 and October 25, 2009. It's estimated that around 14 million chargers are affected.

Although no accidents has happened yet, Nokia is exchanging these chargers free of charge if you happen to have one of these chargers. Nokia reported that “the plastic covers of the affected chargers could come loose and separate, exposing the charger’s internal components and potentially posing an electric shock hazard if certain internal components are touched while the charger is plugged into a live socket.”

You can go to Nokia's charger exchange website below to see if your charger is on the list.
