i want to remove all the contact names on my old phone and then insert a new sim card with all my contacts on. What is the security code to remove all the contacts from the phone?

You better move all the contacts to the phone first. Then after inserting new sim, you move all of them to the new sim. The password required is 12345(by default)

assuming this is a nokia , so simply use the nokia pc suite to take backup of everything including your settings and take this backup back to phone .

There will be an option in your phone to select one or more select more and remove all contact from your cell phones.

You can first copy all contacts to phone memory. Have you already tried and saw that it asks for security code. Am using a Nokia phone and doesn't ask for that but if it asks maybe you have a security code that you set. And if you did not set any use the default given above.
