Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer to share your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- From the drop-down menu, select Google Contacts
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once done, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- Once the backup file is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the sender device, select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
