    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Personal”
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, passwords, and settings to be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for syncing contacts
    5. Make sure the “Contacts” check mark is ticked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the phone and computer
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification shade
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    5. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
