Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Battery” > “Menu”
  3. Enable “Battery Saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
  2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Open “Settings” and access “Display” for more options
  4. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
  5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. In the quick toggle area, tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features
  3. Launch “Settings” and go to “Location” for GPS options
  4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
  5. Return to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
  6. Disable “Tethering & Portable Hotspot”

Switch to 2G Temporarily:

NOTE: You can switch to 2G networks to conserve energy until your next recharge if your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery pack.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Wireless & Networks”
  3. Tap “Mobile Networks” > “Preferred network type”
  4. Enable “2G”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can potentially improve battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type
  4. Tap the desired account
  5. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect battery life. You can remove or disable unused third-party apps to avoid this.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Apps”
  3. Switch to “All apps” if necessary
  4. Select the desired app and tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
  5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can potentially improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “About phone” > “System updates’
  3. Check if new updates are available
  4. Follow the prompts to download and apply updates
