No the two companies use different technologies, the only Blackberries that can be unlocked to work with each other are Cingular and TMobile

That's what I thought, I just wasn't sure if IDEN and GSM were compatible because they both use Sim cards. I didn't know if the systems were similar enough to be compatible. Thanks for the info.

If you had an AT&T version, and unlocked it, it should work with ALL providers including T-Mobile.

Dont bother getting it unlocked, unless you want an SMS only phone. Get a starter plan from T-mobile or Cingular.
