Sounds like a little "buyer's remorse." Is it more trouble than it's worth?

You're ahead of me. I'm still doing my research and due dilligence. Not generally this slow to make a purchase decision but I'm looking at the Pearl and the 8800 and the 8300. So many choices ...

Thanks for all your great input and welcome to CPF!

Alright its day 4 and can gladly say this is by far the best phone ive ever owned. Now that im fully familar with the menu's and style of software Ive come to love the sophistcation of the Pearl. My Micro-SD card simply had to formatted by the Pearl for it to be used. Now I can easliy transfer images, music, and more to and from my computer. The speaker is loud too, which was my biggest complaint with the T-629!!

Strong endorsement Steve. I spent some time at the cell store today. Totally ruled out the 8800. Now I'm just looking at the Pearl. Like most things about it but the Pearl is sooooo mushy. Do you get used to it?

i'm still contemplating the Pearl, i've notice it went back up in price to $199...
T-Mo had it for $149.99 for about a month.

The screen is brilliant! You can change the text size up to 14 pt. Very large compared to most cell phones.

    Re: Pearl Here

I just got a Pearl myself. It took me a while to make that decision to purchase the phone because I had tested a friends previously and wasn't sure if I liked the track ball. Turns out she didn't have the sensitivity set correctly and I can say I'm enjoying the phone.
