Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the BlackBerry DTEK50 to your computer via USB
- Enable Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory under Ringtones / Notifications / Alarms
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound
- Under Call Ringtone & Vibrate, tap Phone ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Optionally, you can turn Also vibrate for calls ON or OFF
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the phones internal memory or the SIM card.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact and tap Edit
- Tap Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access Settings
- Tap Sound & notification under Device
- Tap Default Notification Sound under Sound
- Select a notification sound and tap OK to confirm
Enable / Disable Gmail Notifications:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Gmail
- Tap Menu and go to Settings
- Select an email account to change the notification options for
- Tap the Notification check box On or Off
