Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the BlackBerry DTEK50 to your computer using the USB cord
- Enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media Device (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the audio files on the PC storage
- Copy the desired files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications / Alarms directories
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the Phones General Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound
- Under Call Ringtone & Vibrate, tap Phone ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Optionally, select to enable or disable Also vibrate for calls
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the SIM card or the phones internal storage.
- Open Contacts
- Tap the contact whose ringtone you want to change
- Tap Edit > Menu
- Tap Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK to confirm
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Launch Settings
- Under Device, tap Sound & notification
- Tap Default Notification Sound under Sound
- Select the notification sound you want to use
- Tap OK to confirm
Enable / Disable Gmail Notifications:
- Open Gmail
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Select an email account to change the notification settings related to it
- Tap the Notification check box to enable or disable Gmail notifications
