I'm not familiar with the process on a Sony, but there should have been a CD that came with your phone (software suite?) that has the needed drivers for making the connection to a PC along witht he data cable It should also have instructions. If you don't have the CD, check the Sony website to see if the can be downloaded or purchased.

The other alternative is to buy a Bluetooth adaptor for the PC. They cost from $15 to $20. You can transfer files wirelessly that way.
