The Samsung Galaxy S (shown above) for North American carriers; T-Mobile, Verizon and U.S. Cellular has just been announced by Samsung Mobile USA. The Samsung Galaxy S, aka Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile, runs on Android 2.1 and features a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, GPS, Google Maps
with free turn-by-turn navigation, Samsung Social Hub, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP autofocus camera, HD video recording, and Samsungs 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor and come preloaded with EAs The Sims 3 Collectors Edition, James Camerons Avatar, MobiTV, Kindle for Android, Slacker Radio, and GoGo Inflight Internet.
Price of the Samsung Galaxy S/Vibrant will be $199.99 on T-Mobile contract and will become available on July 21.
The next Samsung handset is the Samsung Fascinate which has most of the same features of the Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile but does not come with the preloaded software. It does, however, come with Bing Maps, Bing Search, V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video on Demand, V CAST Song ID, V CAST Tones, VZ Navigator, and Visual Voice Mail.
Pricing and the availability have not been announced by Samsung or Verizon as well as no photos are available for the Fascinate.
The Samsung Galaxy S will also be available for launch for U.S. Cellular, but no exact date nor pricing have been mentioned.
