Today I read that Samsung will be releasing its Galaxy Player powered by Android 2.2, with GHz CPU, 4-inch Super Clear LCD screen, 3.2MP rear camera with front facing camera for video calling, GPS, and HD video playback. Begs the question in how far it outcompetes the iTouch and what the price will be. Who knows more?

The thing looks an awful lot like the iPod Touch. For a closer look, there’s a vid on the device [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEO57Ymd3QI]YouTube - Samsung GALAXY player 50 android based Multimedia player / YP-G50 | Mp3 player[/VIDEO]

I read somewhere it’s gonna be around $200, which is reasonable, although some of the Android phone already come for that price

Re: Samsungs Galaxy Player
with only 16GB of internal memory, it doesn’t offer that much space for a media player. indeed, although the specs look good, i would still go for an actual droid phone.
