Re: Galaxy S3 Tips & Tricks - gestures, security, S-Voice, battery life, sounds
WOW... after watching and reading hours of docs and tutorial vids on my new S3, I could have just read this and asked a few questions and have been done with it. I do feel like a dummy, but thank you Tavenger... awesome stuff!!!

HI, I'm not sure if this has been posted, as I looked around and didn't see it. So sorry if I'm double posting. If it is posted, kindly point me to it and I'll be very grateful
I just got the Galaxy S3 and the email notification is driving me crazy! It's using the Postman tone, and I've gone into the settings on the email app and disabled the notification, I even tried changing the tone, but it continues to "tink tink" for every email. Please help me to turn it off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey, I found out how to turn this off!
I had to click on the the email name it's self and it comes up with the settings for that specific account.. I was previously going into the General Settings. Just to pass along my success!
Cheers!!!
Quick Galaxy SIII Battery saver:
Stopping running applications can help conserve battery life.
From the home screen, press and hold the Home key. (lower center button)
Tap End all Apps (lower right icon)
You can also drag individual apps left or right to close
I use this End All Apps feature several times a dayLast edited by camstuf; 05-07-2013 at 01:10 PM.
