Using S Health

  1. First of all you need to set up S Health, so go to the Home screen and tap Apps.
  2. Then tap S Health -> tap Next -> read the Terms of use and if you agree, tap Agree in all sections (there are three sections total) -> then tap Next.
  3. When you first access S Health, the app will ask you to create a new profile, so you’ll need to enter information such as Birthday, Height, Wight and Activity type.
  4. Based on the information you entered in the profile, the app will suggest how many calories you need to consume and burn every day.
  5. When done editing your profile, tap Start.
  6. Then tap Health board. There you will see a summary of all the S Health activity, such as: Calories burned, Calories intake as well as Weight and Progress charts.
  7. To access additional information, tap the desired section.
  8. You can also view charts of your performance over time by tapping the Graph icon located at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  9. The chart shows your current progress. To see your progress from another date, tap the arrows to the left or right of the date located at the top of the screen.
  10. You can even rearrange the charts and drag them to the desired order.
  11. Then tap the Menu icon located at the top left corner of the screen ->select Walking mate (a pedometer that can be used to track the distance you walked and estimate how many calories you burned) -> to begin tracking your walking activity, tap Start.
  12. When you want to stop the Walking mate, tap Pause and then tap the Graph icon to check the usage over time.
  13. Next, tap the Menu icon located at the top left side of the screen -> select Exercise mate (this will help you track your exercises by duration, type as well as date and time) -> to record a new activity, tap Enter -> select the desired activity type.You have many options to choose from, so if you want to quickly find your activity, use the Search field -> enter the name of your activity -> then tap it -> enter the duration of that particular activity and tap Done.
  14. The activity has been recorded. Add as many activities as you wish and to return to the side menu, tap the Menu icon.
  15. Now select Food tracker (this is a very useful food journal that can be used to record your meals and keep track of the calories you consumed) -> to add a new entry, select the desired meal option first (Breakfast, Lunch, etc) -> then select Add food information (you can even add an image of the meal by tapping Camera or Gallery and following the on-screen instructions) -> use the search field if you want to narrow the results -> select the desired meal -> and tap Done when finished. Your Food tracker has been updated.
  16. Then tap the Menu icon located at the top left corner of the screen -> use the other S Health tools available: Comfort level for the environmental conditions (with humidity and temperature included), Weight (if you want to track and update weight over time) and Settings.
  17. To close S Health, press the Home key.
