Clearing App Cache and Data:

Clearing cache or data from an app can fix various software problems. However, keep in mind that any data stored in that app will be lost (settings, saved games, login information etc). To clear app cache and data:

  1. Tap the "Menu" key on your device while viewing a home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Select "Application manager"
  4. If necessary, swipe left to right to switch between the "Downloaded", "Running" or "All" tabs
  5. Select the desired application
  6. Tap "Clear data" and then press "OK"
  7. Tap "Clear cache"

Uninstalling a Third-Party Application:

  1. Tap the "Menu" key while viewing a home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Tap "Application manager"
  4. Swipe to the "Downloaded" screen
  5. Select the desired application then tap "Uninstall"
  6. Press "OK" to confirm

Hiding Applications:

Certain preloaded applications can't be uninstalled, however, you can hide them so that they won't appear in the apps menu. These hidden apps will also not be updated in the future.

  1. While viewing a home screen, press the "Menu" button on your device
  2. Tap "Settings" and select "Application manager"
  3. Swipe left or right to switch between "Downloaded", "Running" or "All" screens
  4. Select the desired application. Note: You can sort the list by pressing the "Menu" key and tapping "Sort by name" or "Sort by size"
  5. Tap "Disable" then confirm by pressing "OK"

Making Applications Visible Again:

  1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button on your handset
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Select the "More" tab
  4. Go to "Application manager"
  5. Swipe right or left to switch between the "Downloaded", "Running" and "All" screens
  6. Tap the application that you wish to make visible again
  7. Press "Enable" then tap "OK" to confirm
