How-to: Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo: Block / Forward Calls and Manage the Call Log

Call Blocking

Blocking Calls from a Specific Number:

1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
2. Tap "Settings" and tap the "My device" tab
3. Tap "Call" > "Call rejection" > "Auto reject list"
4. Touch "Create" and perform one of the following sets of steps:
   
   • To block from the contacts list:
     
     1. Tap the "Contacts" icon
     2. Tap "Contacts" twice
     3. Select either "Always" or "Just once"
     4. Select the contact that you want to block
     5. Tap "Save"
   • To block a number from the call log:
     
     1. Tap the "Contacts" icon
     2. Tap "Logs" and select the number that you want to block
     3. Tap "Save"
   • To block a new number:
     
     1. Enter the phone number that you want to block. NOTE: tap "Match criteria" if you want to reject numbers that meet certain criteria. For instance, selecting "Starts with" allows you to reject calls from an area code. If you want to block only the provided number, enable "Exactly the same as"
     2. Tap "Save"

Unblocking a Number:

1. While viewing the home screen, press "Menu"
2. Tap "Settings" and touch the "My device" tab
3. Tap "Call" > "Call rejection" > "Auto reject list"
4. Choose one of the following:
   
   • To allow calls but leave numbers on the block list: clear the check box associated with the desired number
   • To allow calls and remove them from the block list:
     
     1. Tap the "trash can" button
     2. Press the desired phone number
     3. Tap "Delete" and then "Delete" once again for confirmation

Call Forwarding

Forwarding all Calls (Unconditional):

1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
2. Tap "Settings"
3. Tap the "My device" tab, followed by "Call" > "Additional settings" > "Call forwarding" > "Always forward"
4. Enter the phone number that you wish to forward the calls to
5. Tap "Enable"

Forwarding Some Calls Only (Conditional):

1. Press the "Menu" button while viewing a home screen
2. Tap "Settings" and go to the "My device" tab
3. Tap "Call" > "Additional settings" > "Call forwarding"
4. Select one of the following options:
   
   • Forward when busy
   • Forward when unanswered
   • Forward when unreachable
5. Enter the phone number that you wish to forward the calls to
6. Press "Update"

Managing the Call Log:

To View the Call Log:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
2. Go to the "Logs" tab
3. To view more details regarding a log listing, tap "View more"

To Reset the Call Log:

1. Access the "Phone" app and go to the "Logs" tab
2. Press the "Menu" button and tap "Delete"
3. Tap "Select all"
4. Press "Delete" twice for confirmation
