Managing Contacts
Adding a New Contact:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Go to the "Contacts" tab and press the "+" icon
- Select "Device", "SIM" or "Google" as the location where you want to save the contact
- Tap the "First name" field and enter the contact's name
- Type in the contact's phone number in the appropriate field
- Add any additional information that is relevant to you
- When ready, tap "Save"
Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:
- Tap the "Phone" icon from a home screen
- Tap the "Keypad" tab if necessary
- Press the "Menu" key and tap "Speed dial settings"
- Select the dial pad number you want to assign
- Choose the contact that you wish to link to the previously selected dial pad number
Importing Contacts from the SD Card:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" button and tap "Import / Export"
- Tap "Import from SD card"
- Select the desired location / account as the location where you want to import the contacts and tap "OK"
- Choose either "Import vCard file" / "Import multiple vCard files" or "Import all vCard files"
- Tap "OK" and if necessary, select the desired vCard files and tap "OK" once more
Exporting Contacts to the SD Card:
- While on the home screen, tap "Contacts"
- Access the "Contacts" tab
- Press "Menu" > "Import / Export"
- Tap "Export to SD card"
- Press "OK" to confirm
Importing Contacts from the SIM Card:
- Launch the "Contacts" application
- Go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press "Menu" and tap "Import / Export"
- Tap "Import from SIM card" and select the location where you want to import the files, then tap "OK"
- Mark the check boxes associated with the contacts that you want to import. Optionally, you can tap "Select all"
- Press "Done"
Exporting Contacts to the SIM Card:
- From the "Contacts" app, go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press "Menu" and tap "Import / Export"
- Select "Export to SIM card"
- Choose the contacts that you want to export or tap "Select all"
- Press "Done" > "OK"
Deleting a Contact:
- Tap "Contacts" while on a home screen
- If necessary, tap the "Contacts" tab
- To delete contacts located in a specific list, such as Google contacts, press "Menu" > "Contacts to display" and select the desired option
- Press "Menu" > "Delete"
- Mark the check boxes next to the desired contacts, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Delete" > "OK"
Caller Group Management
Creating a New Contacts Group:
- Open the "Contacts" app
- Tap the "Groups" tab
- Press "Menu" and tap "Create"
- Type in the group's name
- Press" Add member" and mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to add
- Tap "Done" > "Save"
Adding Contacts to an Existing Group:
NOTE: in order to add a contact to a group, the contact needs to be saved on a Google account or on your phone's internal memory
- Press "Contacts" from the home screen
- Go to the "Groups" tab and select the desired group
- Tap the "+" icon and press "Menu" > "Edit" > "Add member"
- Mark the check boxes associated with the contacts that you want to add, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done"
