  10. Press "Menu" and tap "Sync all"

Transferring Contacts via the "People" / "Contacts" Apps:

Using the "People" app on the HTC Desire 600, you can export the contacts stored on the device as a VCF file. Then, the file can be transferred to the S4 VE via email or using a computer, and imported to the phonebook via the "Contacts" app:

  1. On the Desire 600, tap "People"
  2. Access the "People" tab and press "Menu"
  3. Tap "Manage contacts"
  4. Tap "Import / Export contacts" > "Export to phone storage" or SD card
  5. Select an account if necessary, and make sure you remember the VCF file's name for future use
  6. Tap "OK" and the file will be created
  7. Launch the email client and compose a new email
  8. Attach the VCF file to the email and send it to your own Gmail address
  9. Switch to the SGS4 Value Edition and open the email
  10. Download the attached VCF file
  11. Launch the "Contacts" app and press "Menu"
  12. Tap "Import / Export" > "import from SD card" / "[…] storage"
  13. Choose an account if necessary, and load the VCF file

NOTE: After the vCard file has been created, it can be transferred from the HTC device to the SGS4 VE by connecting both smartphones to a computer via USB, and manually copy > pasting it from one device to the other. Then, import it using the method described above.

Using "Send Anywhere":

Another method for contact transfer is to use 3rd party applications designed for file transfer. Send Anywhere is an app with the help of which you can transfer contacts from one device to another via a peer-2-peer connection.

  1. Visit the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on both your smartphones
  2. Launch the app on both devices
  3. On the HTC smartphone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  4. Mark the contacts you wish to transfer and tap "Send"
  5. Select the desired method of contact transfer. You can tap "Generate QR Code" on the Desire 600 and scan the code with the S4 VE's camera to commence the transfer. As an alternative, tap "Receive" on the Samsung device, and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the HTC smartphone
