Clear App Cache / Data:
NOTE: If one of your applications doesnt work as it should, or takes up too much space, you can clear the apps cache / data to try and fix these issues.
WARNING! Clearing an apps data will remove all personal data stored within the app, including login information, settings, profiles, credit card information, saved games etc. To avoid losing data, try clearing the cache first.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Swipe to Applications and tap Application manager
- Swipe to the All or Downloaded screen
- Select the desired application
- Tap Clear cache
- If necessary, tap Clear data > OK
Wipe the Phones Cache Partition:
NOTE: If youre experiencing issues with your phone and youre considering master resetting it, you might be able to fix the problems by wiping the cache partition instead. Unlike a factory reset, wiping the cache does not remove personal data stored on the internal memory.
- Turn off the smartphone
- Press and hold Volume Up, Home, and Power at the same time
- When the phone vibrates, release Power and Home but keep holding Volume Up
- When the Android System Recovery menu appears, release Volume Up as well
- From the recovery menu, press Volume Down repeatedly until you highlight wipe cache partition
- Press Power to select the highlighted option
- Once the cache partition is wiped, Reboot system now should be highlighted
- Press Power to restart your device

Reboot in Safe Mode to Remove an App:
NOTE: If one of your third party apps causes problems and prevents you from uninstalling it, you can easily remove it by first rebooting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled.
- Turn off the phone
- With the device powered off, press and hold Power and Volume down simultaneously
- When the Samsung logo pops-up, release the Power button but keep holding Volume down
- When the device finishes rebooting, release all hardware keys. NOTE: A safe mode label should be displayed in the lower-left corner
- To remove an app, go to Settings
- Swipe to Applications and tap Application manager
- Swipe to Downloaded and select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall > OK to confirm
- To exit safe mode, press and hold Power
- Tap Restart
