Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Galaxy A7.
- Launch iTunes on the PC
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and PC
- After it connects, the iPhone should appear in iTunes. Click it
- Access the Info tab and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Register your Google account, or alternatively click Configure and select an existing account if available
- Click Apply and wait for the sync to complete
- Once done, switch to the Galaxy A7 and register the same Google account, then allow the account to sync contacts with your phone
Using iCloud:
NOTE: If youve used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone prior to finding this guide then your iPhone contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing the account on a computer connected to the Internet, you can export the contacts as a vCard file.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Click Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded on the PC, import it to Google Contacts
- Alternatively you can skip the step above and instead: connect the Galaxy A7 to your PC, copy the vCard file to the phone storage, and import its contents using the Contacts app
Via My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: The methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet; however you also can use third party applications for transferring contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS application that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on your iPhone
- Open the application
- Tap Backup and wait for the file to be created
- Once done, tap Email
- Make sure the email contains the vCard file attachment, and send it to your own address
- Switch to the Galaxy A7, open the email client, download the vCard file attachment, and import it via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Last but not least, Send Anywhere is a third party app for iOS and Android, which can be used to transfer contacts over a P2P connection without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on your iPhone
- From the Google Play Store, install the same app on the Galaxy A7
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Choose the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method, such as Generate QR Code (on the iPhone) or Receive (on the Galaxy A7) and follow the on-screen prompts
