Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Galaxy A3 to your computer via USB
- Swipe the Status bar down and enable Media device (MTP)
- Launch a File Explorer window on the PC
- Navigate to the desired audio files on your computer and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones and Notifications folders under the Media directory
- Once the transfer is done, click the Mass Storage Device icon in the system tray and eject the phone storage
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, you should skip the first 3 steps below.
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac and install Kies
- Connect the Galaxy A3 to your Mac via USB
- On the phones home screen, drag the Status bar down and make sure Media device (MTP) is turned on
- Open Kies on the Mac
- In Kies, click the Folder icon associated with Internal memory or External memory
- Open the file explorer on the Mac
- Locate the desired audio files on the computer
- Drag the files and drop them in Kies
- After the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and into the Trash can icon to eject the device
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Access Settings
- Scroll to Sound and Display, and tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Ringtones
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change the Notification Sound:
- Go to the phones Settings menu
- Tap Sounds and notifications under Sound and Display
- Tap Notifications
- Select the desired notification sound and tap OK
