Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data with the Galaxy J7.

  1. Launch iTunes on the PC
  2. Connect the iPhone to the PC using the Lightning cable
  3. Once it connects, click the iPhone in iTunes
  4. Access the “Info” tab
  5. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Register your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Once the sync is done, switch to the Galaxy J7, register the same Google account and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an active Internet connection, and export the contacts for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Click “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer
  7. Once done, import the file to “Google Contacts”, or alternatively, skip this step and instead:
  8. Connect the Galaxy J7 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage, and use the “Contacts” app to import its contents

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can also transfer your contacts using third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the application
  3. Tap “Backup” and wait for the vCard to be created
  4. After the vCard is created, tap “Email”
  5. Write a new email and make sure the vCard file is attached
  6. Send the email to your address and switch to the Galaxy j7
  7. On the Samsung device, open the email, download the vCard attachment, and use the “Contacts” app to import it

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app that can be used to transfer contacts and other types of files without requiring a computer. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection and is available on iOS and Android.

  1. Go to the App Store an install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Galaxy J7
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones
  4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  5. Choose the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method, such as tapping “Receive” on the Galaxy J7 and entering the transfer code from the iPhone. You can also tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the J7’s camera
