Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Galaxy A7 to your PC via USB
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  3. Enable “Media device (MTP)” if necessary
  4. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  5. Locate the desired audio files on the PC and copy them
  6. Paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and / or “Notifications” folder(s)
  7. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support
  3. Download “Kies 3 for Mac” and install the app on the PC
  4. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy A7 and Mac (if necessary, enable “Media device” from the phone’s notification area)
  5. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
  6. Open the file explorer on the Mac
  7. Locate the desired audio files and drag > drop them in Kies
  8. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive into the “Trash can”
  9. It’s now safe to disconnect the phone from the USB cable

Change the Phone Ringtone:

  1. Access the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Sounds and notifications”
  3. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” under “Sound”
  4. Tap “Ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “Back” to save the changes

Set a Custom Ringtone to a Specific Contact:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Tap the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
  4. Tap the ringtone you want to use and tap “OK”
  5. Press “Save” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. In the “Settings” menu, scroll to “Device”
  2. Tap “Sounds and notifications”
  3. Tap “Ringtones and sound” under “Sound"
  4. Select the desired notification sound
  5. Tap “Back”
