Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime to your computer via USB
- Enable Media device (MTP) when prompted, otherwise swipe the Status bar down on the home screen and enable the option there
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on your PC and copy them
- Paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications folders in the Media directory
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, skip the first 3 steps.
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac and follow the on-screen prompts to download and install Kies on the Mac
- Connect the Galaxy Express Prime to your computer via USB
- Enable Media device (MTP) at the prompt, otherwise turn the feature ON from the notification area
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- Inside Kies, click the Folder icon associated with Internal memory or External memory
- Open the file explorer on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
- Drag and drop the files inside Kies
- After the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the Trash can to eject it
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sounds & notifications
- Tap Ringtones and sounds under Sound
- Tap Ringtone > Add ringtone
- Choose Sound picker and select to use this option Always or Just once
- Select the audio files to add to the ringtone list and tap Done
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the phones Settings menu
- Scroll to Device and tap Sounds & notifications
- Under Sound, tap Ringtones & sounds
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap Back to save the changes
Change a Contacts Ringtone:
- Open Contacts
- Select the contact to set a custom ringtone to
- Tap Edit > Ringtone
- Choose the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Tap Save
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open Settings
- Tap Sounds & Notifications under Device
- Tap Ringtones and Sounds
- Select a notification type
- Select the notification sound you want to use
- Tap Back to apply the changes
