Using iTunes to Sync iPhone Contacts with Google:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Samsung Galaxy Amp 2.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and PC
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and access the “Info” section
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account, or alternatively, click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  7. Once done, switch to the Samsung device, register the same Google account and allow it to sync contacts with your Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an Internet connection and export the contacts as a vCard file for Android use.

  1. On the computer, open the Internet browser
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Choose the contacts to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer. Once done, perform one of the two steps below:
    • Import the vCard through “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Samsung Galaxy Amp 2 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with an active Internet connection, you can also share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”
  3. After the backup file containing your contacts is created, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the Samsung Galaxy Amp 2, open the email and download the vCard file
  7. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard’s contents to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is “Send Anywhere”, available on iOS and Android. The app can be used to share iPhone contacts through a peer-to-peer connection without needing a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send” again
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method, such as tapping “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone, or “Receive” on the Samsung phone
