How-to: Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Create and Manage Contacts & Caller Groups; Clear the Call Log

Create a New Contact:

1. Tap “Contacts” on the home screen
2. Tap the “Create” icon
3. Select to store the contact on “Device”, “SIM card”, or “Google” account
4. Enter the contact’s name, phone number, and other details in the appropriate fields
5. When ready tap “Save”

Import / Export Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts” on the home screen
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
4. To import contacts, tap “Import” and select the source. Then, select the desired contacts to import and tap “Device” > “Done”
5. To export contacts, tap “Export” and select the desired location. Select the contacts to export and tap “OK”

Add a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
2. Tap “Menu” > “Speed dial”
3. Select the dial speed dial number you want to use
4. Select the contact you want to link to the speed dial number
5. Tap “Back” to confirm the changes

Deleting Contacts:

1. Tap “Contacts” on the home screen
2. Select the desired contact
3. Tap “Menu”
4. Tap “Delete” twice to confirm

Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Tap “Contacts” on the home screen
2. Select the contact you want to add to the group
3. Tap “Edit” > “Groups”
4. Check the tick box associated with the desired caller group
5. Tap “Back” > “Save” to confirm

Create a New Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Groups”
3. Select “Create group”
4. Enter a name for the group and tap “Create”
5. Tap “Back” > “Save” to confirm

View and Reset the Call Log:

1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
2. Access the “Logs” tab
3. To view more details on a call log entry, select it
4. To reset the call log, tap “Menu” > “Delete”
5. Select the call log entries you want to delete or tap “All” to select all the call log entries
6. Tap “Delete” to confirm
