How-to: Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime: Manage Contacts and Caller Groups; Clear the Call Log

Create a New Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “+”
3. Select to store the contact on “Device” or “SIM card”, or to sync it with your “Google” account
4. Enter the contact’s phone number, name, and other details in the appropriate fields
5. Tap “Save”

Import / Export Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Go to “Import / Export contacts”
4. Select to “Import” or “Export” and perform one of the following steps:
   
   • When importing contacts: select the contact location and tap “Device”
   • When exporting contacts: select a destination, contacts, and tap “OK” to confirm

Assign Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “More” > “Speed dial”
3. Select the speed dial number you want to use
4. Tap the contact you want to link with the dial number
5. Tap “Back” to confirm

Deleting Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to remove
3. Tap “More”
4. Tap “Delete” two times to confirm

Reset the Call Log:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Access the “Logs” tab
3. Tap a call log entry to view more details
4. To reset the call log, tap “Menu” in the “Logs” screen
5. Then tap “Settings” > “edit”
6. Check “All” and tap “Delete”

Create a New Caller Group Using a Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap the contact you want to use for creating a new caller group
3. Tap “Edit”
4. Access “Groups”
5. Tap “Create group” and enter a name for the group
6. Tap “Create” > “Back” > “Save”

Assign a Contact to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to add to an existing group
3. Tap “Edit” > “Groups”
4. Select the group you want to add the contact to
5. Tap “Back” > “Save” to confirm
