Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can share the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data and contacts with your Samsung device.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Samsung phone and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the PC
- Once the file is downloaded, follow one of these steps:
- Use the Internet browser on the PC to import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party apps to share your iPhone contacts without the use of a PC. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
- Once the backup file is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the Samsung device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party application you can use for contact transfer is Send Anywhere. The app uses a p2p connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Launch the App Store
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
- Launch the app on both devices
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desired transfer method, such as Receive and Generate QR Code and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
